Are you new to Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a primary health care profession, offering a natural form of healthcare that focuses on diagnosing and treating problems that affect your neuromusculoskeletal system – (i.e. your nerves, muscles and joints.)

Our chiropractors see and effectively treat a variety of conditions, such as back pain, neck pain, sciatica and headaches.

With your long-term well-being in mind, they will discuss your problem, your health goals and your treatment aims. As well as offering hands-on care, they will provide you with a personalised exercise regime as well as nutritional and lifestyle advice.

Options of preventative care is discussed to ensure you continue to feel and function at your best, following your initial treatment plan.

Natural, holistic healthcare. Chiropractors help the body to function and heal better.

At Wholesome Health, we believe in the body’s ability to heal itself. Our team are committed to providing you with the most effective, honest care to enhance your well-being.

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a natural, non-invasive and drug-free treatment that focuses on the nervous system and the surrounding spine and musculoskeletal system.

If your spine moves and functions properly then your nerves can communicate with and heal your body as they should.

Chiropractors use hands-on techniques to adjust the spine and other joints, to reduce pain, improve function and enhance your overall well-being

Treatment and the techniques that our chiropractors use

How does Chiropractic work?

Throughout daily life, stress, poor posture, injuries, and repetitive movements can cause ’misalignments’ or ’restrictions’ in the spine (or other joints). These restrictions can put pressure on the nervous system, which control our body’s function and healing ability.

Interference to this can lead to pain, stiffness, or dysfunction in other areas of the body. Chiropractic aims to correct (adjust) these restrictions, reduce pain, improve mobility and support overall well-being.

Your chiropractor will identify joints within your spine, or extremities (arms & legs) that are stuck – or not functioning correctly.
They will use a technique called an ‘adjustment’, or spinal manipulation to gently restore proper movement.

When your joints work properly, this enables your nervous system to function and to heal your body from the stresses and strains of daily life.

    What's The Process?

We have a simple 5 step process to your care at Wholesome Health

    Your Adjustments

Your chiropractor will walk you through each adjustment technique and perform them with a pressure that you’re comfortable with.

There are many different treatment options and styles so you and your chiropractor can decide what method works best for you.

What are the “clicks and pops”?

This is harmless gas being released from your joints when they are adjusted. Some people make more clicks than others!

How many treatments will I need?

As every person is unique, so is your treatment recommendation. Once your chiropractor has thoroughly examined you, they will give you an honest recommendation. For many chronic conditions, this may involve an initial intensive phase of treatment.
