MASSAGE

Initial Consultation:

New to massage? This appointment includes an added FREE 15 minutes consultation so our practitioner can best help you!

Relaxation & Swedish Massage

For those wanting to unwind and de-stress, this lighter-touch massage focuses on calming the nervous system, improving circulation, and gently releasing muscle tension. Perfect for:

  1. Stress, anxiety or overwhelm
  2. General muscle aches from work or lifestyle
  3. Supporting better sleep and rest
  4. Emotional reset and well-being

Sports & Deep Tissue Massage

Ideal for those with active or physically demanding lifestyles. Sports massage helps to relieve tight or overworked muscles, aids injury recovery, and improves range of motion. It is particularly useful for:

  1. Sports injuries or repetitive strain
  2. Chronic muscular tension
  3. Postural issues
  4. Muscle recovery and performance optimisation

We often incorporate stretchingsoft tissue releasemuscle energy techniques, and kinesiology taping to support your recovery.

Dry Cupping

Dry cupping is an age-old therapy with roots in traditional Eastern medicine, now widely recognised for its effectiveness in relieving muscular tension, improving circulation, and supporting the body’s natural detoxification process.

Specifically designed suction cups are placed on the skin to create a vacuum effect. This gentle suction lifts the soft tissue, encouraging blood flow to the area and stimulating the body's natural healing processes.

Cupping may leave circular marks or discolouration (similar to bruising) where the cups have been applied — this is completely normal and usually fades within a few days.

Your treatment will include a combination of hands on massage, static and gliding cupping, where the cups are gently moved across the skin to treat larger muscle groups or fascia.

*(Appointments will automatically be booked as 75 minutes – 1 hour massage + 15 minutes extra to allow for preparing and cleaning cups)

Your first appointment will include a consultation and your first tailored massage.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage is a deeply soothing treatment, perfect for anyone seeking deep muscular relief combined with the penetrating warmth of smooth, heated basalt stones. These stones are placed on key points of the body and used in flowing massage strokes to deliver heat deep into the muscles, easing tension and enhancing circulation.

The heat softens tight muscles more quickly than hands alone, allowing your therapist to work more deeply, yet gently, without the discomfort of firm pressure.

*(Appointments will automatically be booked as 75 minutes – 1 hour massage + 15 minutes extra to allow for preparing and cleaning cups)

Your first appointment will include a consultation and your first tailored massage.

Pregnancy Massage

We understand that pregnancy is a time of profound physical and emotional change.

Our specialised Pregnancy Massage, also known as prenatal massage, is a therapeutic, tailored form of bodywork specifically adapted for the needs of expectant mothers. Using gentle, soothing techniques, this type of massage helps to alleviate the physical strains and stresses that can accompany pregnancy, all while promoting a sense of calm and well-being.

We use supportive cushions and bolsters to ensure you are comfortable and safe throughout your session, whether you are in your first trimester or preparing for birth.

Our therapists are trained to work safely and confidently with pregnant clients, adapting techniques and positioning according to your stage of pregnancy and specific needs.

I cannot speak highly enough of Steph and the team at Wholesome Health Chiropractic. I've undergone a short course of treatment and am missing the weekly appointments now I'm at maintenance stage! From the friendly receptionists ready with a cup of tea ( and biscuits & chocolates) in a cosy waiting room, to the treatment , everyone is welcoming and proffessional in an unstuffy way. Steph's chiropractic skill is knowledgeable, quick and efficient , with a flexible, client centred approach. But it is her broader knowledge of health and depth as a person that has made my treatments multi-layered. Our conversations have been enjoyable and thought provoking and I can say that not just my pain has been dealt with but other aspects of life have been enhanced. I've felt very taken care of in ways I didn't expect. This truly is a holistic practice and I wish them well deserved success. For anyone that has identified the need for life coaching/therapy or art & creativity sessions please see my leaflets in reception or ask for my contact number, Warmly, Liana.

How many treatments will I need?

As every person is unique, so is your treatment recommendation. Once your chiropractor has thoroughly examined you, they will give you an honest recommendation. For many chronic conditions, this may involve an initial intensive phase of treatment.
