Frozen shoulder and rotator cuff

Frozen shoulder is a particularly painful and restrictive condition where the ligaments around the ‘ball-and-socket’ shoulder joint have stuck to the bone, causing it to ‘freeze’.
Often the condition can be caused by trauma, or falls and injury to the shoulder, but there are many other reasons why it can develop.
When injury occurs to the shoulder joint, or any joint for that fact, the body makes its best attempt to heal itself. As it heals, sometimes the body can lay down extra tissue which can stick to the shoulder bone which can leave the person unable to move their arm much at all.
Once our trained Chiropractors have fully assessed your spine, nervous system and other joints (such as your neck and upper back) that may be contributing to this problem, they will create a tailored plan of care for you.
In order to get your shoulder feeling and functioning better, your Chiropractor will gently encourage your shoulder joint to move better, stretch out the muscles around the joint and take care of tension in the neck.
By looking after the nerves in the neck and spine, our Chiropractors ensure that your body has the best chance of healing fully and naturally with the movement back in your shoulder.
They will also give you a tailored exercise plan which will be important to increase your flexibility and strength on a daily basis.
